Anne Wong

Anne Wong, also known as Aya C, is a photographer stationed in Hong Kong.

Being a nature lover, she has always been intrigued by the graphical and elegant elements in nature.  With innate sensibility and the ability to connect, it is her aspiration to capture these elements, expressing them through a unique photographic visual language.

With years of macro photography endurance and a minimalistic, aesthetic, and abstract approach, her immersive artwork has the ability to open hearts, bring inner peace, and invite deep, intimate communication.

“My lens does not seek the object, but the breath that moves through it. I do not capture these forms but allow them to emerge.”

Through the identifiable and the unidentifiable, the boundary between the observer and the observed dissolves.  From a world of senses to a world of senselessness.  The experience is ethereal silence and tranquillity.

“I invite you to linger, to breathe, and to observe the effortless unfolding of the Truth.  Leave the world of striving behind. In this space of shadow and light, there is nothing to find—only the peace of simply being.”

My Process: Intimate, Intentional, and Pure

I approach my photography with a dedication to simplicity and presence. Carrying only a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L macro IS USM lens, working entirely handheld to remain agile and deeply connected to my subjects. Every shot are composed directly through the viewfinder, utilizing fully manual settings to translate the raw atmosphere in real time. Because I value the authentic geometry of nature, my images are rarely cropped.  Post-processing is kept to an absolute minimum, ensuring each black and white print preserves the true mood, light, and quiet soul of the natural world.
